Eat Local Food In- Stock Market Bags
From customer H. Tietjen:
"I purchased tote bags as Christmas gifts this past year and was very pleased with them. The designs are beautiful. They are made in the United States with sturdy stitching and hefty canvas fabric. I like that the handles are long enough to put over my shoulder if I want to. Now my friends and family members are the most stylin' shoppers at the farmer's market."ELF_tote_bags

Dear Customer,

Last week, we exhibited at "Taking Root", the National Farm to Cafeteria Conference in Detroit, Michigan.  The conference was a huge success and we were inspired by ideas shared by conference participants and the comments of key note speaker Kathleen Merrigan, USDA Deputy Secretary.  We are working on some student/school friendly banner designs and new products to help you promote and fundraise for your farm to school program.   At the conference, we had a fantastic response to our "Fruit and Veggie A to Z" memory match game.  While it's currently available to order as a customized product, we are pleased to announce that this summer we will have the card game available to purchase in quantities of a dozen.  It's a great alphabet teaching tool for fruits and vegetables with both the English and Spanish names displayed on each card.  We will send out an update when it's available for purchase as an "in-stock" product in our on-line store.

Bob and Chris have been hard at work on our new "Food and Farm Photography" stock photo site.  You can now browse all of Chris's photos on-line, and either choose a photo to use on an Eat Local Food product, or buy and download a photo to use in your own project.

This month, we are starting a new feature in our newsletter.  To share ideas and success stories, we will highlight a customer's marketing idea or promotion.  We start off with John Muir Health who is doing some great heart healthy promotions at their campus in Walnut Creek California.

Thank you for your business!
We hope you have a successful summer season.

John Muir Health Promotes Heart Healthy Eating
Eat Smart for your Heart!JMH_bagels.jpg

We recently completed a beautful set of banners for John Muir Health with messages for healthy eating and dietary habits.  They have some terrific multi-use marketing plans for the banners and their coordinated customized table tents.

With the message of "heart health" and the goal of promoting their new Cardiovascular Institute opening next year, John Muir Health will have an offsite retreat event with the theme "Healthy Lifestyles" for all of their Administration and Directors.  Executive Chef Alison Negrin will be providing a heart-healthy cooking demo and they plan to use a banner to place in front of her demo table.  The customized table tents will be placed on all the meeting tables that same day to remind attendees of John Muir Health's recommendations for dietary habits.   A follow-up event is with their Champion Physician speaking on healthy food choices and improving Physician health along with one of their Dietitians speaking about on a heart healthy topic.  After the events are over they plan to use the banners in their hospital cafes.

John Muir Health also uses Eat Local Food bookmarks with healthy eating tips on the back as a giveaway item on patient food trays and at health fairs.
